What to do when it is 108 degrees?

What to do when it is 108 degrees? Naturally, you build a model rocket and launch it. Yeah we are crazy! Record setting heat this weekend at 108 degrees. WOW. Jody bought Colton a $8.00 model rocket to build. The $8.00 rocket turns into a $75.00 rocket very quickly once you buy the launch pad, rocket engines, wadding, paint and glue. Thats Ok, Colton and I had a blast building it and we launched it over the weekend. His rocket reaches altitudes in excess of 1400 feet. How exciting. The last launch, the wind caught it once the chute opened, and it landed about 1/4 mile away. He also has a black one that is about 3 feet tall, it only goes about half the distance as the smaller one. I can remember building them when I was a kid. Everytime we launched one, I would hold my breathe, when the rocket peaks it will fall, then poof, the parachute opens up. I am always worried that the parachute won't open. For just one moment, thats all that matters in life, hoping the chute opens.

Kids having fun

These kids are so photogenic! They had a blast at the beach, riding in the dunebuggy, and hanging out together. Huddy looks like he's going 100 mph sitting still on Colton motorcycle. I think he will be ready to race next year! Jesse and Colton happen to have the same PJ's. Enjoy the pics.

Cailtins Graduation 2008

We had a fun day at Caitlins graduation ceremony. There were approx. 650 in her class. We are so proud of her and excited to see her move on to bigger and better things in life, like going to TCU in the Fall. All the kids did great, there were 7 kids six years and under. We all headed over to Paul and Lisa's house after for some pizza and relaxation.

The Foxes came out in full force and we all had a great time visiting and enjoyed there company. Audrey and Colton were attached at the hip. They played so well together. Tatum is a little princess, and Huddy, well he just wonders around trying on everyones shoes. What a cute little guy. I wish we could spend more time together.

A day at the beach

Jody Colton and I spent the day at her sister Tina's house. She lives walking distance to the beach. Her boyfriend Robert and his son Max was there as well. We had a blast on the beach. The weather was incredible, not too hot, not too cold. Colton played in the waves and on the boogie board.

On Saturday, we went to the local race track for a friends birthday. We took the motorhome and the bikes. Colton had fun. I had fun until I crashed going off of a table top jump. I got banged up pretty good. The biggest injury was I twisted my left ankle pretty bad. I am hobbling around though.

Hope everyone is doing well!
