First DEZ trip of the season

We had our first desert trip of the season this past weekend. A lot of friends showed up, 25 total for fun in the sun. The weather was a little toasty in the day, but was very pleasant. Everyone had a good time just hangin out, riding the toys around, eating and visiting. Avery did awesome, she is definitely a "Desert Diva", she loves the outdoors and being in the motorhome. We had a birthday party for Marc and Ronnies son Merrick, he turned three. Marcs Mom Marcia came out from Nebraska, she is like a second Mom to me. Always good to see her. Jody's sisters and family joined us too. Long time friend Steve and his family were there too. Mamaw and Papaw came out for the afternoon and dinner. Thanks to everyone, we had a great time!

Fall is Here !!!

Our Family ventured out to Bates Nut Farm on Saturday. Marc, Ronnie and Merrick joined us. Finally the weather is cooling down, I think it was around 60 when we arrived. The kids had a great time playing in the pumpkin patch. We took some great photos. Avery was dressed up in the halloween appropriate garb, I think everyone who walked by her mentioned how cute she was. She is a doll.

Colton has a progress chart for each week of school, if he gets two smileys a day for a week, he gets a special prize. This week he spent his own money and got a new skateboard and gear. He absolutley loves it. He is learning fast. There are sveral skate parks in the area. I hope to take him to one soon.

Desert season is upon us. Our first trip out is the weekend of Oct. 24th. We have a fairly large group going out. We can hardly wait!!! Desert trips are so much fun.

Lets talk about Avery and Jody

I had to post this for Chloe to see. We are starting Avery early with the skateboarding. Baby steps. She loves playing with big brother on the mini halfpipe. She is also safety conscious, she is wearing safety goggles while brother works with his tools.

A Big Happy Birthday to Jody!!! Her birthday was on 10-1-08. She is an amazing wife, mother and friend. Colton, Avery and myself love her and appreciate all the she does for our family.

Family Recap

I know I havn't updated in awhile. Everyone is good. Avery is really starting to interact with us. Colton is a great big brother. We went camping several weeks ago in the RV. Avery loved it. If she starts to fuss, I can just take her to the RV and perks right up. Colton started riding my old skateboard. He is learning fast. Jody and I are doing well. Jody is planning to go back to work the 2nd week of October. I am doing some prep work on the buggy, getting ready for our first desert trip October 24th. I pulled the motor apart to freshen it up. Colton is now in Kindergarten, he is learning to read and write. I love seeing his work he brings home. We hope that everyone is doing well.

I just had to post this pic. It sums up Coltons attitude these days. For instance, he had to put this particular shirt on because it has a skateboarder on it, and naturally, he is a skater. He has an enormous imagination, he thought he was king of the mountain standing on this rock. He and I went on an "adventure" this day. We headed out in the buggy to an off road area behind our house. We had a great time.

Jody and Avery are doing great. It seems Avery is gaining a pound a day. She is now smiling at us. Inside I know she is actually saying, "I got them where I want'em". She is a sweetheart!

Jody took a few pics of Avery yesterday. She is starting to smile at us. Her schedule is getting a little better, but not perfect. Everyone is doing great here, Colton is helping his sister alot.

I know, I know, I havn't posted in awhile. It's been a little crazy around the house. Avery is doing good, but she hasn't adapted to our schedule yet. She has gained 2 lbs. already. Colton is the ultimate big brother, almost too ultimate. He wants to kiss her forehead about every 2 minutes or so. His intentions are good, he loves his baby sister. Jody is doing well, she is still trying to adjust as we all are. Enjoy the pics.
